Care

Do you have products from CréationVBélanger? You need to maintain them properly.

Natural fibers are a little different from each other and need to be cleaned the right way. Let's start with animal fibers like wool, alpaca, cashmere and mohair.

To hand-wash

You will need a bowl large enough to hold the item, wool soap, and two large towels.
Place the item in the bowl and fill it with lukewarm-cold water. Add about a tablespoon of soap and shake the item so that the soap penetrates everywhere without rubbing or twisting the item.
Rinse with water until all soap is gone.
Squeeze the item between your hands to remove as much water as possible without twisting it.
Then wrap it in a towel and squeeze it to remove as much water as possible.
Then spread the second towel on a table (or other flat place) out of direct sunlight. Lay the item on top and adjust its shape if necessary. You can dry it in a net, but don't hang it, as it may stretch.
Store it in a plastic box with a bag of cedar shavings to prevent damage from pests.

A few things to remember to avoid damaging your item.

Do not make sudden changes in temperature
Don't twist it
Don't hang it
Avoid drying it in the sun
Store it well.

Regarding plant fibers such as cotton, linen, bamboo and Tencel, you can machine wash them without problem.

wash in cold waterdry low

Wash in cold water and machine dry below 30° or on the clothesline.

If your item is a blend of plant and animal fibers, wash it gently by hand.
